Home and Away is a long-running Aussie soap which has featured the likes of future stars such as Dannii Minogue, Chris Hemsworth, and Ready or Not’s Samara Weaving in the past.
Since 1988, the soap has had a UK home on Channel 5, enabling viewers on this side of the globe to keep track of what’s going on in Summer Bay, the show’s fictional setting.
Fans may have noted, however that the soap has not been airing nowadays.
Why Home and Away are now off air?
Is Home and Away for a break?
The soap is on its christmas break, with the last new episode airing on November 20th.
In order for the series to maintain a gap between Australian broadcasts on Seven Network, the show is known to take an annual Christmas break.

It’s not uncommon for the show to take a short break, with a regular year usually shooting episodes that air during the year worth around 46 weeks, but the Covid pandemic has decreased the number of episodes shot this year.
When will Home and Away come back?
The good news for viewers is that in 2021, the show will be back.
Home and Away bosses have teased what viewers might expect when the show returns, even though an exact date has yet to be announced.

A trailer first seen on Australian TV gave fans a preview of the return of Dan Ewing to Heath Braxton’s role.
Between 2011 and 2014, Heath was a regular on Home and Away, but returned for a guest stay in 2016 and 2017, too.
