Just as things seemed to be settling down between Dean (Patrick O’Connor) and his girlfriend Amber in ‘Home and Away,’ things start to go wrong (Maddy Jevic). Amber is clearly uncomfortable with Dean’s relationship with his ex-girlfriend Ziggy (Sophie Dillman). When Dean admits that he still loves Ziggy, Amber’s worst worries are verified. Amber realises she can’t compete with Dean and Ziggy’s bond, so she packs her belongings and leaves with Dean’s kid Jai (River Jarvis). We’re left wondering if Dean can say or do anything to persuade Amber to reconsider her mind, or if Dean will have to kiss his precious kid farewell once more.
Other places After her boyfriend, Tane Parata (Ethan Brown), proclaims his love for her, Ziggy goes into a trance. We don’t know if she’s truly moved on from Dean at this point, given her previous strong affections for him. This is an excellent opportunity to reflect about why Dean and Ziggy split up in the first place.
Why did Dean and Ziggy Break up?
When Dean’s relationship with Ziggy ended in late 2020, he was crushed. They had just celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary. Dean was her rock when she had to deal with problems like her parents’ divorce. Even when her own marriage to Brody Morgan failed, he had been there for her. This demonstrated that he genuinely cared about her and would be there for her in good times and bad. While Dean and Ziggy initially appeared to be an unusual pairing, they met while competing in a rally competition in the Australian desert. With their shared interests in things like surfing and cars, they quickly became the ideal couple.
Dean, on the other hand, was holding a significant secret from her that could disrupt their relationship at any point. Dean happened to be present when Colby assassinated Ross Nixon. To protect his long-time pal, he preserved the secret. Dean was growing increasingly concerned about going to prison for being an accessory to a murder. When it became too much for him to bear, he told Ziggy everything and pleaded with her to stay with him and support him. Ziggy adored Dean, but the fact that he had kept such a large secret from her for the duration of their relationship made it impossible for her to trust him after that.
Dean and Amber
Dean and Amber had recently reconnected, and she and Jai had moved into his apartment, which was located above the diner. Dean had no idea he had a son a year ago. He was ecstatic to learn he had a son. He also knew Amber had always had feelings for him and realised that living together as a family made sense. Dean appeared to be in love with his new fiancée and son on the outside. He had, however, had significant feelings for Ziggy in the past. Given that Ziggy and he both still lived in the same town and that he had to witness her and Tane peacefully cohabiting, there’s a chance there’ll be some drama.

The focus of the commercial is on the day of the surfing competition. The event that was imperilled after Susie McAllister (Bridie Carter) went away with thousands of pounds in fundraising money has finally arrived, thanks to Roo (Georgie Parker) and Dean. Dean is ecstatic to be participating in his favourite sporting event in front of his new fiancée and his long-lost son. The commercials for Home and Away are notorious for putting us off course. The most recent episode gives us the idea that Dean and Ziggy are still in love. What happens to the two couples from Summer Bay? The show’s producers aren’t saying anything about the plot, as is customary.
