Home and Away Spoilers — Leah and Justin go behind Theo’s back

This week on Home and Away in Australia, Leah and Justin try to reconcile Theo’s gap with his father behind Theo’s back, while Martha’s time appears to be running out…

Over the previous few weeks, Justin (James Stewart) has been reflecting on the importance of family, particularly in light of Theo’s (Matt Evans) poor relationship with his parents.

When Theo showed up on his aunt Leah’s (Ada Nicodemou) doorstep, his father Dimitri (Salvatore Coco) had kicked him out after he was caught defrauding consumers at his auto business.

Leah ignored Dimitri’s warnings that Theo was nothing but trouble, and she eventually persuaded Justin to let Theo stay with them.

But Leah and Justin are unaware of the true reason for Theo’s animosity for his father.

Theo was surprised to hear that the papers for his community service had been sent to his home address in the city after Alf (Ray Meagher) went after him for stealing the surf club’s ATV for a joyride. A desperate phone call to his mother calmed Theo; she had kept it secret from Dimitri, who was completely unaware of it.

After hearing the phone call, John (Shane Withington) interrogated Theo, and Theo was compelled to acknowledge that Dimitri used to abuse him. He begged John not to tell Justin or Leah anything because he didn’t want to break Leah’s heart by telling her the truth about her brother, and John has kept his word so far.

Justin tried to persuade Theo to try again with his father last week, but Theo was convinced that his father didn’t want anything to do with him, and vice versa. When he subsequently promised to speak with Dimitri on Theo’s behalf, he simply made matters worse.

Finally, Justin decided to call Leah, who had been in Greece caring for her son VJ, and tell her the truth about what had been going on with Theo during the previous few months. As a result, Leah made the decision to return home.

Theo is furious this week after learning that Leah has already gone to Australia without informing him… and is staying in the city with Dimitri. She’s been attempting to get him to reconcile with his son… Theo, on the other hand, isn’t interested in a father-son reconciliation.

Theo is keen for Leah to return home right away, despite the fact that he doesn’t tell why.

Theo starts acting out at work, taking his frustrations out on Ziggy, as he feels the situation is ready to spin out of control (Sophie Dillman).

With his childish antics and skiving off, Theo didn’t get off to a good start at the garage, but he gradually came to appreciate the chance Justin had given him. Now it appears that Theo is reverting to his former habits and spreading havoc.

Instead of confronting Theo, Justin offers him an apprenticeship, reminding Ziggy that it’s his business and he can do anything he wants!

While Justin’s decision to give Theo greater responsibility may be intended to give him something positive to focus on, Ziggy has seen the resumes of other candidates, including several ladies who are significantly more qualified for the job.

“It’s difficult for Ziggy because he gets the chance so easily,” Matt Evans explained to TV Week. “He messed with Justin and Ziggy a lot and wasn’t really deserving of it.”

Is this going to be the end of their friendship as Ziggy accuses Justin of discrimination?

Roo (Georgie Parker) is still conflicted about her refusal to visit her mother Martha (Belinda Giblin) last week, following their fight over Martha’s rejection of Roo’s kidney. Roo was enraged that Martha would give up a chance at a normal life, and the tension between them drove Martha to return to Merimbula.

When Roo called Martha two weeks ago, she made some progress, but she had to cut the call short because her wrath was coming to the surface once more.

Since Alf (Ray Meagher) left, Roo has been second-guessing her decision, and while he wishes she had followed him, he informed her that her decision was hers to make and that he would accept it.

This week, Roo invites Logan (Harley Bonner) to do some digging and inquire about Martha’s physical condition. But she’s saddened when Logan returns with some unexpected news: Martha’s health is fast deteriorating.

When Roo confronts Alf, he reveals that he couldn’t tell Roo the truth since it would entail facing the truth himself, that they might be about to lose Martha again.

Will Roo be able to forgive Martha before it’s too late? Roo is conflicted as she attempts to put aside her wrath against her; will she be able to forgive before it’s too late?

Marilyn (Emily Symons) returns to Summer Bay this week as well—will her months away have brought back the Marilyn that everyone knows and loves?
