When Felicity’s friends drop by unexpectedly this week, it’s a good ol’ fashioned street party in Summer Bay.
When Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) gets home from a meeting with her lawyer, she tells Tane (Ethan Browne), her boyfriend, that she is now officially a co-owner of Salt!
However, a concert taking place outside their door interrupts the couple’s joy. Tane is astounded, but Felicity gladly welcomes the Lyrik quartet because they are longtime friends.
Tane settles in before making a quick getaway while Felicity follows.
The band has been on the road for more than a year, but it hasn’t been easy, explain the bassist Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) and guitarist Remi (Adam Rowland). Everyone is exhausted, and relationships are strained.
Then there is keyboardist and songwriter Kirby (Angelina Thomson), whose friendship with the haughty lead vocalist Bob (Rob Mallett) is rocky.
According to Angelina, “The band’s relationship is tumultuous and Kirby is stuck between a rock and a hard place.”
Felicity proposes they perform at Salt’s re-launch party after sensing the tension. The band members consent to the gig, but Emily Weir, a Salt co-owner, what will she say?
Unfortunately, Mac rejects Felicity’s crazy suggestion. It doesn’t fit their clientele and they don’t have the money to pay the band.
Felicity prevails in the discussion after some persuasion. Mac gives a warning: she is responsible for the band night’s failure.
Everyone is anxious as the party for the re-launch finally approaches. Customers arrive, but Lyrik are not to be found. Felicity is indignant. They are where?
The moment she declares the evening a failure, the lights lower and loud music starts playing. Lyrik take the stage and amaze the audience, but Cash is unimpressed.
He turns to go, and it is obvious that he has a past with the group. Instead, he encounters Eden directly. She bursts into his arms with a broad smile. Nicholas Cartwright’s character Cash appears to have witnessed a ghost.
