Ada Nicodemou, star of the hit television series Home and Away, has shown fans what a typical day in the life of both herself and her character, Leah Patterson-Baker, behind the scenes of the hit programme.
It seems that a lovely day at Sydney’s gorgeous Palm Beach may soon change into thunderstorms, forcing the show’s performers to postpone a scene due to some harsh weather. That is, when Leah is not busy getting kidnapped.
Ada revealed that she spends the first part of her day in the makeup chair learning her lines before updating fans on what else goes on site.
Ada gave fans a behind-the-scenes peek at the filming process with co-stars James Stewart, who plays Leah’s on-screen partner Justin Morgan, and Emily Symons, who plays Marilyn Chambers.
In the video, James spilt some tea and revealed that Ada’s “favourite” location for filming isn’t the garage where Justin works.
He said, “The rest of us like it!” Ada was observed tossing her head in disagreement.
Ada remarked, “Let’s just say we didn’t finish the day,” as the weather changed.”Thunderstorms and lightning are present!”
For 23 years, Ada has portrayed the beloved Leah Patterson-Baker, who made her Home and Away debut in March 2000.
Having been a prominent character on the programme for the longest time, Leah has experienced a number of dramatic stories, including the deaths of two of her husbands (one of whom was later found to be alive), the breakdown of her third marriage, and several abductions.
Leah was involved in a horrific vehicle accident earlier this year where a pole punctured her abdomen. Ada made a hint in July that Leah would encounter more sinister things.
“I’m filming some pretty heavy stuff right now,” she disclosed. “It’s a long road ahead, but there will be some light at the end of the tunnel.”
