Be still our beating hearts, Daniel MacPherson’s Joel Samuels will make a comeback on Neighbours the following week, during the show’s final episodes.

Just days before his wedding, the heartthrob, who starred in the Channel 5 series between 1998 and 2002, will surprise Toadie (Ryan Moloney), who is his best friend.

Viewers are aware that Toadie is thinking a lot right now as a result of his growing awareness of Amy Greenwood’s (Jacinta Stapleton) affections for him.

In spite of this, he is moving through with the wedding preparations at full speed, but the future bride Melanie Pearson (Lucinda Cowden) has anxiety before the ceremony due to old memories.

Toadie, meantime, has similar worries and recognises that in order for him and Mel to begin married life on the right foot, he must make a dramatic move.

But first, he gets a surprise visit from an old buddy!

When Joel enters Ramsay Street, Toadie is stopped in his tracks. Toadie introduces Joel to Melanie once the initial shock has subsided, and the group chats about earlier times.

The next thing Toadie says is that he and Amy are no longer together, and Joel is well aware of this. What will Joel make of this?

That is still up in the air!

After becoming friends with Malcolm Kennedy (Benjamin McNair), who had recently mounted his own return, Joel made his Ramsay Street debut in 1998.

In the years that would come, the character would appear in a number of plotlines and form relationships with Felicity Scully and Dee Bliss (Madeleine West) (Holly Valance).

In 2002, he left Erinsborough.

Joel was one of several previous Erinsborough favourites who will make a comeback for Neighbours’ season finale, it was announced earlier this year.

Since Channel 5 controversially decided to remove Neighbours off their schedules in favour of “original UK drama,” which the broadcaster claims has a “strong appeal” for people, Neighbours, as viewers are aware, is scheduled to end later this month.

The final month of episodes, which are regarded as must-see TV, have been characterised as an on-air celebration of the show’s heritage.

Actor Daniel MacPherson commented on his comeback by saying: “Joining Neighbours at age 17, little did I know, was going to kick launch a career that continues to be the experience of a lifetime.”

To return and reprise my role as Joel one more was a little way for me to express my sincere gratitude to the cast, crew, and viewers of the show.
