Tammin Sursok, star of Neighbours, has applauded the cast for their professionalism in handling the news of the show’s cancellation after 37 years on the air.

When the news of the show’s cancellation came, the former Home and Away star, who is joining Ramsay Street for a limited time, was in the middle of recording her episodes for the show.

Sursok recently spoke on her time on the serial and how the cast managed to remain “professional” and not “throw a hissy fit” despite the bad news on Australia’s Kyle & Jackie O Show.

Sursok told co-hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, “I appreciate the work spirit of Australians.” “They came in with such professionalism, and they did their job without complaining or throwing a hissy fit.”

“They were just so professional,” she continued, “and it was just really nice to be on that show during such a transition.”

Network 10 and Fremantle, the show’s producers, confirmed that Neighbours would be ending due to ongoing financial difficulties, with the final episode set to air in June.

The show suffered a big setback in February when UK airing partner Channel 5 announced its exit. Despite efforts to find alternative funding, the show will end production this summer.

Sursok is well known for her work as Jenna Marshall on Pretty Little Liars and Dani Sutherland on Home and Away. She will play fashion mogul Montana Marcel in her guest role.

Her character, according to newly published facts from the programme, is a sophisticated businesswoman who has a thing for Leo Tanaka (Tim Kano).
