On UK screens next week, Chloe Brennan and Nicolette Stone of Neighbours make a mistake they later regret as Clive Gibbons moves in.
Clive (Geoff Paine), who is presently seeing Nicolette’s mother, Jane Harris (Annie Jones), proves to be a dreadful houseguest, adding to the mounting tension at Number 24.
Jane asks Chloe (April Rose Pengilly) whether Clive may stay with them for a few days while his bathroom is being refurbished in forthcoming scenes on Channel 5.
Chloe agrees, certain that everything will work out, but Nicolette (Charlotte Chimes) is more hesitant.
Clive’s eccentricities and irritating habits, such as insisting on a chilly temperature in the house for his plant Herbert, prove to be correct, and Nicolette’s intuition is correct.
When the four of them sit down to watch a movie later, Clive unintentionally upsets Nicolette and Chloe by talking and asking questions about the movie.
Nicolette and Chloe struggle to cope with Clive’s new eccentricities, and Nicolette eventually tells Jane that she wants Clive to go.
Jane refuses Nicolette’s request, urging that he stay until his house is finished being renovated. However, it appears that the job will take a few days longer than anticipated.
Nicolette ends up calling the contractors to persuade them to finish the work sooner than expected. Will this be enough to persuade Clive to go, or will he stay longer?
