What’s next in Summer Bay?
Coming up on Home and Away, Marilyn places Zane in danger after inviting Heidi’s brother Austin to Summer Bay.
Elsewhere, the locals come together for a blood donation drive to find a stem cell match for Eden, and life deals Levi and Mac another cruel blow.
Here’s a full collection of 12 big moments coming up.
1. Amelia opens up to David
Amelia wants her and David to go public with their romance, but he’s keen to keep it behind closed doors through fear of hurting Lacey.
The couple head back to Amelia’s motel room, where she opens up about her upbringing in the foster care system.
But their time together is soon cut short when Amelia receives a call to say Eden’s health has taken a turn for the worse.
2. Jimmy learns a devastating truth
Eden’s afternoon with her family ends in an emergency dash to hospital after she collapses, while struggling to breathe.
Levi explains the treatment that’s meant to be making Eden stronger is no longer working.
And when Eden’s father Jimmy questions what this means, Levi is forced to be honest – Eden may only have a matter of months left.
3. Eden’s health is in decline
As Cash and Jimmy hold vigil by Eden’s hospital bed, Amelia reveals that the doctors have decided to bring forward her next transfusion.
The next morning, Eden’s obs are looking better, so Amelia gives her permission to return home but insists on complete rest.
But Amelia remains concerned about Eden’s liver and kidney functions and knows the need to find a donor is more urgent than ever.
4. The locals rally round to support Eden
Remi receives a call to say a blood donation van is coming to Summer Bay and is quick to spread the word.
The locals work together to promote the blood drive, hoping it could lead to finding a suitable stem cell match for Eden.
Later, Cash drives Eden home past the Surf Club to see everyone who’s turned out to help her. Eden is desperate to thank them all in person, but has to keep her distance and wave from the vehicle.
5. Mali helps John face his fears
Mali calls John out for avoiding the blood drive, but Marilyn points out that he faints at the mere sight of a needle.
After tricking John into coming to the event, Mali finds his friend hiding in the office. Embarrassed, John opens up about his phobia and explains how he once fainted in front of his navy mates.
Mali is understanding, and with his support, John finally finds the courage to take part in the blood donation.
6. Marilyn makes a risky move
Guilt-ridden Zane finally opens up to Marilyn as he admits that he will never be able to move on from what he did to Heidi.
Seeing his distress, Marilyn feels compelled to help as she looks at the number for Heidi’s next of kin Austin.
Will she go behind Zane’s back and reach out to his victim’s family again?
7. Lacey gives Amelia a chance
David confronts Lacey after finding out that she warned Amelia to stay away from him yet again.
Lacey realises she’s overstepped the mark and approaches Amelia to say sorry. Amelia accepts Lacey’s apology and for the first time they manage to have a civil chat.
Afterwards Amelia and David head back to her motel and agree to forget about Lacey and just focus on themselves for a bit.
8. Zane feels betrayed by Mali
Remi is puzzled by Zane’s refusal to sign up for the blood drive and asks Mali what’s going on.
Mali explains that Zane is on parole and won’t be allowed to donate blood until he’s been out of prison for 12 months.
Concerned for Zane, Mali goes to see him. But this only makes things worse when Zane discovers that Mali has been telling people about his shameful past.
9. Heidi’s brother arrives in the Bay
Inspired by the acts of kindness towards Eden, Marilyn calls Heidi’s brother Austin and asks him to get in touch.
It’s not long before Austin turns up at the Diner, but he shows Zane zero sympathy for what he did to Heidi.
Marilyn returns home, but is closely followed by Austin, who demands to see Zane for himself.
10. There’s bad news for Mac and Levi
Mackenzie receives an email from the IVF clinic to say all her embryos have now been destroyed.
More bad news follows when Levi reveals that his operation has been cancelled because he’s got too much scar tissue on his hand.
Mac feels torn about whether to tell Levi about the embryos given what’s going on with Eden, but Mali urges her to be honest. How will Levi take this latest trauma?
11. Austin attacks Zane
Despite Marilyn’s best attempts to calm the situation, Austin is baying for Zane’s blood.
Moments later Zane arrives home with Alf, who’s just returned from Merimbula, and is confronted by Austin who pins him up against the wall.
Zane holds his temper while Alf rings the police, who arrive and haul Austin down the station.
12. Zane makes a decision
Austin is questioned by David, but is released with a warning after Zane agrees not to press charges for assault.
As Austin departs, he apologises to Marilyn for what happened but insists Zane never contacts him or his family again.
Zane is grateful for Marilyn’s unwavering support but Alf wants to know what on earth she was thinking by reaching out to Austin in the first place.
