Hendrix Greyson (Ben Turland) and Mackenzie Hargreaves (Georgie Stone) have their big day, but with Hendrix’s health deteriorating and surgery looming, will everything go according to plan in Neighbours?
The pair has been bending over backwards to complete their wedding plans on schedule. They want to have their wedding at the zoo, but the booking falls through just a day before the ceremony. It appears that tragedy has struck, which is a hint that things shouldn’t go ahead, but they decide to keep their cool and just get it done.
It’s not easy, though, because their fathers, Grant and Pierce, are at odds while trying to find a new site.
Despite this, the happy couple continues to plan their wedding, and the big day arrives. Everything comes together wonderfully; the fathers stop fighting (for the time being), the site is set, and the wedding is a lovely affair, with Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) officiating. The act has been completed, the couple has been married, and everything is well in the world.
During their first dance, they have a terrific time, and things get even better for Mackenzie when her father Grant joins them for their father-daughter dance. It’s the moment she’d been waiting for, and it’s all she could have hoped for.
But will the two fathers be able to keep their squabbles to themselves?
Hendrix and Mackenzie leave the do and begin their married life. They enjoy a ‘homey-moon’ planned by Chloe and Kiri before receiving their biggest wedding gift: Pierce presents them the keys to an all-expenses-paid apartment. They’re eager to start their married life in their own home.
But, before they get too thrilled, there’s Hendrix’s operation to consider. When the big day arrives, he’s afraid but attempts to keep it hidden from Mack. Will he make it? It’s crunch time — will he make it?
Scenes will begin airing on Channel 5 on Monday, June 6th.
