Glen (Richard Huggett) is hiding a great secret from the rest of the world. Is he willing to destroy someone else’s life to save his own in Neighbours? He is, without a doubt.
Nicolette (Charlotte Chimes) was not impressed when she spotted Glen interfering with her love life at River Bend, urging him to “go lost” when he tried to prevent her from getting closer to Kiri. Even though he pretended to be worried for her, something in her gut told her otherwise.
Glen has a difficulty when Kiri (Gemma Bird Matheson) comes up on Ramsay Street. He has a hidden daughter, but no one knows about her – not even she – and he wants it to stay that way. It’s not going to happen while she’s just a few feet away from him. He’s taken aback by his desire for a relationship with her, but he knows it’s impossible. He confesses to a stunned Terese to relieve his load, but realises that’s as far as it can go.
Glen is relieved to find that Kiri has arrived to seek Nicolette, not because she is aware of his existence. Glen, on the other hand, seems to find her everywhere he turns when he’s trying to avoid something. He’s having trouble keeping his mouth shut, and the more run-ins he has, the more inclined he is to blab.
So Glen devises a scheme to keep the facts hidden: he decides to break up Kiri and Nicolette in the hopes of driving her away. He’s about to do something nefarious.
When Kiri confronts Nic with all of the details about Nic’s colourful history, Nic is taken aback. It gives Kiri the heebie-jeebies. When Nic reacts angrily to Glen, the ick becomes permanent, and there’s no turning back; Kiri has had enough of Nicolette and decides to go. Glen’s task is done here, and it appears that his secret is safe.
Scenes will begin airing on Channel 5 on Monday, March 21.
