The first information about the return of Izzy Hoyland has been made public by Neighbours’ executives.
As we approach the closing weeks of the long-running soap opera, Natalie Bassingthwaighte will play Izzy once more. This is the first time since 2018.
Izzy’s new friendship with Malcolm Kennedy, the son of Karl and Susan Kennedy, will be seen in later episodes.
The Kennedys are taken aback when Malcolm unexpectedly arrives from the UK and informs them that he and his wife Catherine have separated.
Malcolm’s divorce makes Karl and Susan unhappy, but it’s obvious he hasn’t told his parents the whole story when he returns to his hotel room and welcomes Izzy.
Mal promises Izzy that he will eventually reveal the truth to Karl and Susan, but he wants them to take it one shocking revelation at a time.
Mal advises Izzy to wait until he has determined the ideal opportunity to remain covert at the hotel.
Later, Izzy shows up at the Kennedys’ door as Mal struggles once more to tell the truth.
Izzy makes a reference to their covert relationship, assuming that Mal has already revealed the information.
Mal, who is now left in the dark, fills in the details by confessing that he and Izzy are in love.
Susan’s reaction to Mal dating one of her worst foes will be interesting.
Between 2003 and 2006, Izzy was a regular on Neighbours. She is best known for her part in the dissolution of Karl and Susan’s marriage.
She came back to make cameos in 2007 and 2018.
