Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan, returning Neighbors stars, will re-release their timeless song “Especially For You” to celebrate their comeback.
For the forthcoming soap opera finale, the couple will return as Charlene and Scott Robinson, and earlier this week, we got our first glimpse of them back in action.
Now that the two celebrities have officially announced it on social media, you can pre-order their 1988 hit duet on vinyl and cassette starting August 5 for a limited release.
Despite the fact that the plot reason for their comeback is currently unknown, Jason previously hinted to an emotional finale for Scott and Charlene.
He said on The One Show, “You never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory, and there’s so much when you come down that street. Although it was emotional, the filming continued. To find out, you’ll have to wait.
In a recent interview with Glamour, Kylie opened up about her decision to return to Ramsay Street, saying, “It’s just to say thank you to the devoted fans who still remember those first few years of the show.”
She continued, “I’ve worked with people, you know, super cool mega stars, really famous people. “And eventually they’ll admit that they used to watch Neighbours and would skip class to catch the lunchtime episode.
They’ll occasionally mention a Neighbours episode, and it’s always very moving because those are completely different times from our own.
The soap will end in a “joyful” manner, according to star Jackie Woodburne, when it airs later this month.
