Home and Away fans have pointed out a coincidence involving Ziggy and Dean’s baby.
Since Home and Away has been broadcast on Australian television for 35 years, it’s not surprising that the serial has experienced a lot of births and deaths. Fans have seen Billie Ashford’s (Tessa de Josselin) infant Luc and Tori Morgan’s (Penny McNamee) infant Grace on the show during the past few years, and Summer Bay’s newest addition was born last month.
Finally, Dean Thompson (Patrick O’Connor) and Sophie Dillman’s baby child Isabella was born. One fan has noticed an odd coincidence as the two have been enacting an emotional plot about Ziggy suffering with feelings of inadequacy as a mother.
One astute fan noted on the Home and Away Spoilers & Info Facebook page that Isabella had worn outfits similar to those Grace wore as a baby.
A fan linked a picture of Jasmine Delaney (Sam Frost) cradling her stepdaughter Grace to a moment last week with Mackenzie Booth (Emily Weir) and Isabella. The infant bodysuits on the two infants look to be the same ones from Target.
The only person who would have noticed this, I imagine, is me. Around the time Tori gave birth to Grace in 2020, my daughter was born. Grace used to wear a set of Target baby clothes that we also had at the time, the author noted.
Izzy was wearing the same outfit when I saw the Thursday night program, I noted.
She added that Grace’s wardrobe options increased as she grew older, but cycled through a couple of outfits as a newborn. “They probably bought this set in multiples in different sizes. So each onesie probably hasn’t been worn as much as we’ve [seen] them on TV,” she guessed. Fans were excited by the revelation, with many saying they hadn’t noticed the small detail. “Not many bubbas in Home and Away so guess [there is] only a small wardrobe. Good pick up,” one person wrote.
Another person commented, “Good to see wardrobe are being frugal. “Because the outfits are simple, they keep using the same’style’ suits. They claimed to dislike patterns and other such things, thus a third person noted that they typically choose solid colors or stripes. Another person remarked, “Grace had a lot of the same dresses and toys as ‘Luc’ too! (Billie’s daughter).” One fan also shared some wardrobe secrets from when her mum worked on the soap. “My mum used to be a nanny in the studio for Tori’s baby (twins) and they always had basic clothes in tubs, so I’m presuming they just reuse the same ones. “She loved it! Always had a story to tell when she got home,” she spilled.
