The following week on Home and Away in the UK, Cash conceals the truth following a wild night with Rose while Jasmine has to leave Summer Bay due to some unfavourable news.
When Jasmine Delaney (Sam Frost) receives some bad news, it will follow the sudden departure of Logan Bennett (Harley Bonner) earlier in the week.
Jasmine had recently had to deal with the death of her estranged father as well as the discovery that she had a half-brother and step-sister, Xander (Luke Van Os) and Rose, who she had never known about (Kirsty Marillier).
Although Jasmine was able to quickly develop a relationship with Xander, it took a lot longer for the ice between her and Rose to melt. It wasn’t easy for Jasmine to accept her newfound siblings as family.
However, this week, Cash (Jasmine’s boyfriend; Nicholas Cartwright) must deal with a Rose problem as a simple night out degenerates into a mess.
Despite being invited to the Parata family barbecue, Cash is in a good mood and reconciles with his sister Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) after being forced to arrest her the previous week.
After a few drinks, Flick is pleased to see “fun Cash” emerge, and even Tane (Ethan Browne) is astonished to notice the difference in the always serious copper.
In the end, Flick advises Cash that the party is just getting started and that he should probably go home because he’s had enough. As he makes his way to the surf club, he decides to invite Rose for a few drinks there as he browses through his phone.
As the afternoon evolves into evening, Rose is a little taken aback to meet “fun Cash,” but she handles it well.
Cash is happy to see Mackenzie (Emily Weir) come because he wants to order more drinks, but he quickly discovers that standing up is more difficult than he anticipated.
Mac has to urge Cash to put his tool away before she can explain that she can’t serve him any more drinks as he places the blame for his stumbling on a rickety table and promises to fix it.
Cash declines Rose’s offer to drive him home, saying that Jasmine has never seen him intoxicated and that he can’t let her see him like this.
The following morning, Flick finds it amusing to see Rose’s car parked up by the beach with the windows steaming up. He can’t help but peek inside to see who Summer Bay’s newest constable hooked up with.
Imagine her amazement when she encounters a somewhat flimsy Cash!
Rose reassures Cash that nothing inappropriate happened between them; instead, they simply went for a walk along the beach before collapsing in the car. This is done as Flick goes missing.
Cash assures Flick that there was an entirely harmless reason, but he is adamant that Jasmine must remain in the dark.
Robbo’s father Ian (Frankie J Holden) calls Jasmine and informs her that Wendy (Amanda Muggleton), his wife, has had a heart attack.
They may use some assistance on their farm in the distant regions of NSW while Wendy is out of the woods.
As she tells Rose that she will be leaving the bay for a while, Jasmine tries unsuccessfully to contact Cash, who is dodging her calls as a result of his apparent remorse. Even though Rose and Xander have only recently become a family, she feels horrible about leaving them, but Wendy and Ian are also part of her family.
Jasmine says she’s going to the Shaw farm that same day when she eventually catches up with Cash. Cash has no intention of telling Jasmine the truth about what transpired the previous evening as they quickly bid each other farewell.
Will Cash decide to come honest about his very harmless night with Rose, or will the non-issue be dragged out for several weeks to come? Felicity and Rose are enraged that Cash is hiding secrets from Jasmine.
Jasmine’s departure was first hastily added to the script so that Sam Frost could take a few months off from the show. However, it was later revealed that Sam had opted to completely leave the programme, thus it is probable that this brief vacation for Jasmine will be the only time we see her.
