It’s been more than a decade since Kate Ritchie and Chris Hemsworth stared side by side in the iconic soap Home and Away.

But it’s obvious that the actors have remained close friends over the years.

Kate, 42, was one of Chris and his brother Liam’s popular guests at a star-studded ’80s-themed bash in Crown Sydney on Saturday.

Kate made a fashion statement in a black printed T-shirt and a bright pink lipstick while posing alongside a friend in a picture she shared with Instagram.

She crippled her hair for the party that celebrated the 37th anniversary of Chris’ personal assistant, Aaron Grist.

Aaron has known Chris since high school, and is likely to have seen Kate at home and away in Chris’s years.

They were also joined by Hollywood actors Matt Damon and Idris Elba, who wore the same matching collection of Adidas trackpants and jackets as Chris.

Kate and Chris were co-stars at Home and Away from 2004 to 2007.
