On Neighbours, Jackie Woodburne’s character Susan Kennedy is unable to accept the relationship between her eldest son Mal (Benji McNair) and Izzy Hoyland (Natalie Bassingthwaighte).
Susan’s marriage to Karl was once destroyed by the same woman (Alan Fletcher).
and then shortly after, as Susan and Karl were renewing their vows on a boat in London, gave birth to Holly, Karl’s daughter.

Anyhow, Susan and Izzy are no longer friends after she ruined their plans to buy Number 24 and relocate to Ramsay Street.
Susan reaches a breaking point and commands Mal to choose between his family and Izzy.

Jane Harris (Annie Jones) and her daughter Nicolette Stone (Charlotte Chimes), who lives at Number 32, are dismayed to learn that Byron (Joe Klocek) intends to leave for Cape Town.
Byron’s mother, Jane, has been driving her son away because she cannot accept the money he has been earning as a male escort, and Nicolette is afraid that history is about to repeat itself.
Nicolette is reminded of her own argument she had with Jane when the family was living in London, and the mother and daughter quickly find themselves at odds once more.
Nicolette begins to question whether staying at Number 32 with her mother will be best for her future given all the change happening around her on Ramsay Street.
Melanie Pearson (Lucinda Cowden), who is getting ready to marry Toadie Rebecchi, is still acutely conscious of Sonya’s legacy as she prepares to become the new Mrs. Rebecchi.
Yashvi (Olivia Junkeer), Toadie’s visiting niece from Sydney, finds Melanie alone under Sonya’s memorial tree at Lassiter’s Lake and has a heart-to-heart with her.
Toadie comes to realise he needs to make a BOLD gesture to let go of a part of his past and start over with Melanie after unintentionally learning how his fiancee is feeling.
